Dyna-Mac to construct topsides modules for deepwater Angola FPSO

Dyna-Mac has secured a S$60-million ($44-million) letter of award to construct six units of FPSO topsides modules for Armada Cabaca Ltd., an affiliate of Bumi Armada Berhad.

SINGAPORE –Dyna-Mac has secured a S$60-million ($44-million) letter of award to construct six units of FPSO topsides modules for Armada Cabaca Ltd., an affiliate of Bumi Armada Berhad.

Dyna-Mac’s scope includes detailed engineering and the fabrication of the six units of topsides modules for anFPSO to be deployed at Eni’s block 15/06East Hub field in deepwater offshore Angola. The topsides FPSO modules are scheduled to be delivered progressively to the owner within 1Q 2016.

The FPSO will be capable of crude oil production rate of 80,000 b/d of oil with a storage capacity of 1.8 MMbbl and 120,000 b/d of water injection, and 120 MMcf/d (3.4 MMcm/d) of gas handling capacities. The fourth generation FPSO, currently undergoing conversion from a very large crude carrier, will have a topsides weight of 15,000 metric tons (16,535 tons) and will be moored at a water depth of 450 m (1,476 ft). First oil is targeted for 4Q 2016.
