Cyprus responds on Leviathan gas talks

Delek Group’s gas subsidiaries have accepted a request from DEFA, a state gas company owned by the government of Cyprus, to postpone the period of validity of a proposal to supply gas though pipelines from the Leviathan field offshore Israel.

TEL AVIV, Israel – Delek Group’s gas subsidiaries have accepted a request from DEFA, a state gas company owned by the government of Cyprus, to postpone the period of validity of a proposal to supply gas though pipelines from the Leviathan field offshore Israel.

The period of validity now extends until April 30, 2015. Accordingly, the commercial examination process and negotiations between DEFA and the bidders should continue in the near future.
