    Baker Hughes offshore rig count up for week

    The Baker Hughes US offshore rig count for the week ending Feb. 20 shows an increase of two rigs over the previous week, bringing the total to 54.

    HOUSTON –The Baker Hughes US offshore rig count for the week ending Feb. 20 shows an increase of two rigs over the previous week, bringing the total to 54. This is three rigs fewer than a year ago.

    Regarding onshore rigs, Baker Hughes Inc. counted a decline of 48 to 1,310 totalrigs. This is 461 rigs lower than the year before.

    TheCanadian count is down 22 rigs to 360, which is 272 below last year’s 632.
