HOUSTON– AccessESP has reported installation of the first rigless ESP conveyance system in Nigeria in the Ukpokiti #4 offshore well for Shebah Exploration and Production Co. Ltd (SEPCOL).
This installation used AccessESP’s 375 series, 190 HP Permanent Magnet Motor and wet connector system. The system was deployed through 4½-in. tubing on conventional 0.125-in. slickline after installation of the tubing string.
The Ukpokiti #4 system was deployed to a depth of 5,900 ft (1,798 m) and took less than 15 hours to install, said AccessESP. The well has been in production for more than 40 days since installation.
