    Fourth South Pars jacket completed

    Construction has been completed of the jacket for platform D, the fourth of the South Pars Phase 12 platforms in the Persian Gulf.

    TEHRAN, Iran – Construction has been completed of the jacket for platform D, the fourth of the South Pars Phase 12 platforms in the Persian Gulf.

    The latest jacket is 84 m (275 ft) long, weighs 4,200 tons and took 16 months to assemble, according to news service Shana.

    A decision on the timing of the installation of the jacket will depend on the results of a delineation well on Phase 12. Once all the facilities are in place and in service, Phase 12 is expected to deliver 3 bcf/d (81 MMcm/d) of sour gas.
