    Plexus extends support for Ivar Aasen drilling

    Det norske oljeselskap has contracted Plexus Holdings to supply surface wellhead and mudline equipment services for Geopilot#2, an oil/gas appraisal well for the Ivar Aasen development in the Norwegian central North Sea.

    LONDON – Det norske oljeselskap has contracted Plexus Holdings to supply surface wellhead and mudline equipment services for Geopilot#2, an oil/gas appraisal well for the Ivar Aasen development in the Norwegian central North Sea.

    This will be the seventh Det Norske well to use Plexus’ POS-GRIP wellhead equipment since 2012. Value of the latest order is around $1.4 million.

    Plexus will provide its 18¾-in., 15,000-psi (1,034-bar) high-pressure/high-temperature adjustable surface wellhead and mudline system. The newbuild rigMaersk Interceptor will drill Geopilot#2 directly following the Geopilot#1 well, which will also use POS-GRIP based equipment.
