BP contracts Wood Group PSN for North Sea support

BP has awarded Wood Group PSN a $750-million engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services contract relating to facilities on the UK continental shelf.

ABERDEEN, UKBP has awarded Wood Group PSN a $750-million engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services contract relating to facilities on the UK continental shelf.

These comprise six BP offshore upstream assets and the Forties Pipeline System (FPS) onshore midstream facilities in Grangemouth, central Scotland.

The contract, which starts next month, will lead to the creation of 150 new jobs. It includes an option for two one-year extensions.

Wood Group PSN already provides EPC services forBP’s Clair, Magnus, ETAP, Andrew, and Bruce fields and the newbuild Glen Lyon FPSO, which is  due to come online west of Shetland in 2016.
