ABERDEEN, UKBowtech Products Ltd. is supplying miniature underwater cameras with integral LEDs to Isotek Oil and Gas Ltd. for use on a diverless subsea pipeline repair system.

The L3C-400-MICRO cameras are fitted with pressure-relief valves to enable safe operation in an argon-rich atmosphere subsea. The cameras are also supplied with right-angled adaptors to permit observation of the tool in operation from all angles from restricted available camera positions.

Isotek developed its diverless subsea pipeline repair system for a multinational oil and gas client. The Bowtech L3C-400-MICRO camera was chosen due to its extremely compact size for use in the limited space available within the tool. Bowtech modified the standard camera to incorporate the pressure-relief valves. This is now available as an option if required by any customer.
