HOUSTON– Vaalco Energy says the semisubmersible Transocean Celtic Sea should start drilling the first exploration well next month on the Kindele prospect offshore Angola.
In October, Vaalco entered thesubsequent exploration phase (SEP) of block 5 PSA with partner Sonangol P&P. This extends the exploration license by three years until end-November 2017.
The partners have committed to drill four exploration wells during the extension period.
