Offshore staff
RIO DE JANEIRO –Petrobras and Pre-Sal Petroleo SA (PPSA) have agreed on unitization for the Tartaruga Mestica project in the south portion of the Campos basin.
The unitization agreement covers part ofTartaruga Mestica where postsalt carbonate reservoirs of the Albian age extend from the concession area into unlicensed acreage in the presalt polygon.
PPSA represents the federal government and oversees all unitization deals whenever there is a presalt asset involved. Once output from Tartaruga Mestica begins, a portion of the oil and gas produced in the field will go to the federal government via PPSA.
The development plan has been submitted to ANP for approval.
