OSLO, Norway – Rocksource says the VNG-led partnership plans to build on this year’s Pil and Bue oil discoveries in the PL 586 license in the Norwegian Sea.
Combined resources are estimated in the 95-175 MMboe range.
Next year the partners plan to drill a large structure adjacent to the discoveries with potential resources of 200-500 MMboe.
In the event of a success, further upside in the license has been mapped that could lead to more exploration.
