ABU DHABI, UAEGulf Marine Services says a contract extension has been exercised for one of its Large Class self-propelled elevating support vessels in the southern North Sea.

The vessel has been chartered to an international oil company performing well service and maintenance work since 3Q 2012. It will remain on charter for a further year from 2Q 2015, leaving a six-month option remaining.

The company says the client has agreed on a small increase in the charter rate, in recognition of GMS taking on additional modification work.
