MOSCOW – Gazprom plans to step up gas deliveries to Turkey through the Black Sea.

This follows talks with Taner Yildiz, Turkey’s minister of Energy and Natural Resources, in Moscow.

Both parties agreed to load theBlue Stream trunkline system to full capacity as soon as possible to satisfy growing Turkish demand. It will involve boosting capacity from 16-19 bcm (600-700 bcf) annually.

The Beregovaya compressor station in Russia and the Durusu receptions terminal in Turkey will also be upgraded for this purpose.
