Pipeline Week: Republican nominee for Texas Railroad Commissioner to deliver keynote presentation

HOUSTON – Ryan Sitton, the Republican nominee for Texas Railroad Commissioner, will give the opening keynote presentation at Pipeline Week, Oct. 28-30, 2014, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston. His speech will address the important issues facing the Texas oil and gas industry and what role the Railroad Commission should play in addressing them.

The opening session and keynote presentation will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 8:00-9:15 a.m. and is open to all registered attendees.

Ryan Sitton is a native Texan and a 1998 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he obtained a B.S. in mechanical engineering, and met his future wife, Jennifer. In 2006, Ryan and Jennifer founded PinnacleAIS, an engineering and technology company focused on reliability and integrity programs for the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Since 2006, PinnacleAIS has experienced substantial growth, recently surpassing 300 employees. Inc. Magazine recognized PinnacleAIS in 2012 and 2013 as one of the top 1,500 fastest-growing, privately held companies in the world. PinnacleAIS has been a part of the Aggie 100 for three consecutive years.

With more than 15 years of experience in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry, Ryan is an active member of several industry groups, including the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers (TAEP), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the American Petroleum Institute (API). Ryan is a leading expert in his field, consulting to a wide range of oil and gas companies, ranging from independent producers to some of the world’s largest integrated operators, and serving as an expert witness in both regulatory and civil court cases.

PennWell, GITA, and the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) Association agreed to co-locate the 23rd Annual GITA Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference & Exhibition and the 10th Annual PODS Users Conference. The partnership resulted in the creation of Pipeline Week.

The10th Annual PODS User Conference will take place Oct. 28-29, and will include a robust program of operator presentations, workshops, training, and round-table discussions focusing on leveraging the PODS Standard. Running simultaneously from October 28-30, the GITA's Oil & Gas Pipeline conference will host an operator forum and also a number of dynamic panel discussions. Pipeline Week will encourage the free flow of ideas between a wide range of viewpoints.  

In conjunction with the conferences, a sold-out Exhibit hall will showcase technology, equipment, and services vital to the oil and gas pipeline industry. Companies showcasing their products and services in the exhibition hall include Blue Marble Geographics, ESRI, GE Energy Management, GL Noble Denton, Integra Services Technologies, New Century Software, RigData, and Rosen USA.
