Marine Contracting moves Delta House FPSO to GoM location

Marine Contracting has towed LLOG Exploration’s Delta House FPSO to its operating site in the Gulf of Mexico’s Mississippi Canyon 254 field.

SINGAPOREMarine Contracting has towed LLOG Exploration’s Delta House FPSO to its operating site in the Gulf of Mexico’s Mississippi Canyon 254 field.

The completed towing builds on the Gulf of Mexico track record of Marine Contracting’s parent company, Global Maritime, which has supported the towing of facilities to the Thunderhorse, Atlantis, Independence Hub, and Who Dat projects.

Delta House is a semisubmersible floating production system that will have an initial production capacity of 80,000 b/d and 200 MMcf/d (5.7 MMcm/d) of gas with peak capacity of 100,000 b/d and 240 MMcf/d (6.8 MMcm/d) of gas. Initial production is expected in the first half of 2015. The Delta House FPSO has a payload capacity of 9,300 tons (8,437 metric tons).
