Husky targets first oil from South White Rose in early 2015

CALGARY, Canada – Husky updated its development/exploration programs offshore Newfoundland & Labrador.

A Hibernia-formation well targeting a deeper zone at theNorth Amethyst field is expected to enter production around year-end.

All production equipment is in place at theSouth White Rose field, and subject to rig availability, first oil is likely next spring.

Site preparations continue for theWest White Rose field development, including construction of the graving dock. The project remains subject to partner and regulatory approvals.

In the Flemish Pass basin, a 3D seismic program in the area of the Bay du Nord discovery is complete. TheWest Hercules drilling rig arrived offshore Newfoundland in mid-October to start an 18-month appraisal and exploration drilling program. Husky has a 35% interest in the Bay du Nord, Mizzen, and Harpoon discoveries in partnership with Statoil.

In theSouth China Sea, gas sales from the Liwan gas project have risen to a range of 200-220 MMcf/d. A second 22-in. pipeline is being laid from the 3-1 field to the shallow-water platform. Pending vessel availability, plans are being finalized for completion of the pipeline, which should provide increased operational flexibility and more reliable performance later in the field life.

The Liuhua 34-2 field is also due to be commissioned, subject to final approvals, while the partners are assessing market opportunities for the Liuhua 29-1 field with a view to achieve first production in 2018.

Offshore Indonesia, Husky has issued a letter of intent for an FPSO to develop the BD gas/liquids field in the Madura Strait. Construction is progressing on a wellhead platform and pipeline infrastructure. First gas is expected in 2017.

Government regulators have approved a plan of development for the MDK gas field via a two-well platform with production tied back to the shallow-water MDA/MBH floating production unit. First gas is scheduled for 2017-2018.

Husky has a 40% interest in the Madura Strait developments.
