KUALA LUPUR, MalaysiaCarnarvon Hibiscus Pty Ltd. (CHPL) has signed a rig share agreement for an exploration well in the VIC/P57 permit offshore southeast Australia.

The agreement is withOrigin Energy Resources which intends to drill two wells prior to handing the rig over to CHPL.

Seadrill’s West Telesto, an independent leg cantilever jackup, will probably spud the Sea Lion prospect for CHPL in 2Q 2015, with the program expected to last up to 30 days. Prospective resources are estimated at 11 MMbbl

Additionally, CHPL has an option to use the rig to subsequently drill two development wells for its West Seahorse project (if successful, Sea Lion would be a tieback).
