DUBAI, UAE – Topaz Energy and Marine is in negotiations on support vessel requirements for the Shah Deniz 2 project offshore Azerbaijan.
The contractor is looking to deploy itsvessels on a long-term basis.
Elsewhere in the Caspian Sea, Topaz is experiencing increased demand for offshore support vessel services for Lukoil’s V. Filanovsky development in the Russian sector.
In addition, two Topaz anchor-handling tug supply vessels have started work in a mid-term contract offshore Turkmenistan.
The contractor has numerous other ongoing contracts in theMiddle East, notably off Qatar and Saudi Arabia, with some vessels in the area contracted for most of 2014. Topaz has also seen increased demand for its vessels in the UAE with charters starting this summer.
Another growth area isWest Africa where the contractor has 11 vessels operating.
