HAMILTON, Bermuda – AziNam says a new license has been issued for blocks 2312A&B and 2412A&B offshore Namibia.
These are now known as respectively blocks 2312 and 2412A (the central blocks). Chariot Oil & Gas is the operator.
The new license carries a three-year initial exploration phase: work commitments include acquisition and processing of 1,500 sq km (579 sq mi) of3D seismic.
AziNam has increased its holding by 10% to 20%. State company NAMCOR and local partner Ignitus Oil and Gas also entered the license.
