ABERDEEN, UKReflex Marine has won approval from the Mexican Merchant Marines to sell its FROG-6 crane transfer device in Mexico.

The certification is a result of Reflex Marine working with the Mexican government’s testing agency, the Centro de Normalizacion y Certificacion de Productos (CNCP) for over a year, as well as with PEMEX and its local partner GINEMEX.

Crew members can be seated in FROG-6 units, which include seat belts and harnesses, and protection by a stainless-steel frame and buoyancy panels. The units provide self-righting, flotation, and protection from the four key risks of transfer: falling, collision, heavy landings, and immersion in water. Among other features, the FROG-6 can also accommodate a stretcher for medical transfers.
