    PSA gives go-ahead for wells on Ekofisk, Ormen Lange offshore Norway

    Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has authorized drilling campaigns on two of the country’s major producing offshore fields.

    OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has authorized drilling campaigns on two of the country’s major producing offshore fields.

    ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has consent to use the jackupWest Linus to drill and complete wells at Ekofisk 2/4-ZZ.

    A/S Norske Shell has authorization to use the semisubmersibleTransocean Barents to drill appraisal well 6305/8-2 at Ormen Lange in the Norwegian Sea. The program is due to start this month.
