Production increases at South Pars offshore Iran

Gas production from the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf is expected to reach 200 MMcm/d (7 bcf/d) by March 2016, according to the country’s deputy petroleum minister, Emad Hosseini.

TEHRAN, Iran – Gas production from the South Pars field in the Persian Gulf is expected to reach 200 MMcm/d (7 bcf/d) by March 2016, according to the country’s deputy petroleum minister, Emad Hosseini.

The field covers 3,700 sq km (1,429 sq mi) in Iranian territorial waters.
