LONDON-DONG E&P UK Ltd. has reported that the supporting foundation of the Hejre platform was installed on the seabed of the North Sea, and the drilling of the first production well started. Additional work is going into establishing infrastructure oil and gas pipelines and extending the oil terminal in Frederica. However, work on the upper part of the platform is experiencing delays at the supplier’s consortium; so production is not expected to start until 2017.

The Hejre field is located in license 1/06 in the central part of the North Sea. Dong serves as operator of the project with a 60% interest; while Bayerngas holds the remaining interest. Hejre was discovered in 2001.

The company also stated that the operator of theLaggan-Tormore project, TOTAL E&P UL Ltd., is reviewing delays in the construction of the gas treatment plant in the Shetland Islands. Dong expects that production start-up will be postponed from end of 2014 to 2015.

This offshore gasdevelopment consists of a long distance tieback of subsea wells connected to a new gas processing terminal at Sullom Voe on Shetland, which will then be exported to the UK Frigg pipeline system in the North Sea.
