CALGARY, CanadaTalisman plans a two-well exploration campaign later this year offshore Vietnam in the Nam Con Son basin. The wells will be drilled on the Red Emperor extension in blocks 135 and 136.

Offshore Malaysia, the company’s 2Q production averaged 37,000 boe/d, down 8% from the previous quarter. The dip was due to a partial shut-in of an inter-field pipeline at the PM-3 facilities because of concerns over potential corrosion.

In June thepipeline returned to full capacity following testing and it should remain in service until a full replacement is enacted next year.

Talisman is engaged in a multi-welldrilling program at PM-3: a follow-up appraisal well to a new oil pool discovery intersected an 18-m (59-ft) oil column.
