Pemex charters Stanford platform supply vessel

Stanford Marine was won a three-year contract for its platform supply vessel (PSV) Stanford Bateleur from Mexiship in Mexico.

DUBAI, UAEStanford Marine was won a three-year contract for its platform supply vessel (PSV) Stanford Bateleur from Mexiship in Mexico.

Before starting its charter, thevessel will undergo some project-specific modifications in Dubai. It has been on charter in Malaysia with Halliburton and in Qatar with Maersk Oil since its delivery from Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China in early 2013.

Pemex will operate it as an “injector vessel” out of the port ofDos Bocas in Tabasco. The Bateleur will join its smaller sister vessel, the DP-1 Stanford Goshawk, which has been working from the neighboring port of Ciudad Del Carmen in Campeche for the last 12 months.

TheBateleur is a DP-2 diesel electric PSV with a deadweight of 5,145 tons, a FiFi 1 notation, an open deck area of 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq ft), and accommodation for up to 52 persons.
