Offshore staff
PERTH, Australia – Swala Energy Ltd. (ASX: SWE) has begun a 2D seismic acquisition program in block 12B offshore Kenya. The work will be carried out by BGP International.
Swala and its joint venture partnerTullow Kenya BV will acquire 350 km (218 mi) of 2D seismic over the coming weeks. The data will be used to determine the forward exploration program for the block.
Block 12B lies in the Neogene Nyanza basin, an offshoot of the East African Rift System, where large quantities of oil have been proven in recent years by Tullow in Uganda and Kenya.
