STRAUME, Norway – OMV Norge has awarded AGR a three-year well management services contract for well construction on the Norwegian continental shelf.
AGR previously delivered services for OMV during drilling of theChamonix well, using the semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin rig, and for last year’s Wisting and Wisting Alternative wells in the Barents Sea, drilled by the semisub Leiv Eiriksson rig.
Both Wisting wells presented environmental, operational, and logistical issues due to the location and the shallow reservoirs.
