GREAT YARMOUTH, UK – 3sun Group has completed a full life cycle project for a North Sea oil and gas exploration and production company.
The client’s topside system had become unreliable and replacement parts were no longer available. 3sun Group developed a solution to address reliability and obsolescence issues.
Initially the company performed an offshore feasibility survey followed by a detailed report on the control system’s condition and recommendations for its removal.
3sun Group has since won a contract for the design, manufacturing, and provision of replacement panels, which will be installed during the next planned shutdown of the platform in early 2015 and for decommissioning and removal of the old panels.
