EGERSUND, Norway – NAVTOR has signed a fleet agreement with DOF Management, the owner and operator of 78 offshore service vessels. The deal will see NAVTOR’s ENC service rolling out across DOF’s CSV, PSV, and AHTS vessels worldwide.

NAVTOR’s ENC solution is distributed on the pre-loaded USB-based NavStick, allowing instant download of global charts and licenses to the ECDIS, while an online synchronization feature ensures that the latest updates are available on demand. Time for administration duties such as checking for updates and ordering licenses is reduced.

Nils Olav Troland, operations manager at DOF, arranged for the service to be trialed on two vessels, the AHTSSkandi Vega and the PSV Skandi Feistein (both of which serve clients in the North Sea) during the summer of 2013.

DOF will also be using NAVTOR’s NavTracker tool. This fleet-management app allows onshore teams to track vessels, giving a full overview of ship location, chart usage, and management (including a comprehensive overview of ENC updates).
