Technip to provide PMC services in Zakum field offshore Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. has awarded Technip a contract for project management consultancy services for the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the Zakum Oil Lines Replacement Project - Phase 1.

PARISAbu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. (ADMA-OPCO) has awarded Technip (Paris:TEC) a contract for project management consultancy (PMC) services for the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of the Zakum Oil Lines Replacement Project - Phase 1 (ZKOL).

The ZKOL project serves ADMA-OPCO’s objective of replacing aged oil pipelines in the Zakum field, aiming to enhance integrity assessment and sustain oil production. Accordingly, the first phase consists of 90 km (56 mi) of oil pipelines replacement and associated wellhead towers modification work. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
