Offshore staff
MOSCOW – Gazprom says a contract has been awarded for independent certification of the offshore section of the South Stream gas pipelines through the southern Black Sea, to ensure conformity with DNV-OS-F101.
This standard specifies the requirements for design, construction, and operation ofoffshore gas pipelines with proper consideration of security and environmental protection needs.
Gazprom also expects to announce soon the results of the bid procedure for the deepwater pipelay, and to award pipe supply contracts for the second South Stream offshore gas line before the end of March.
Construction of the offshore section starts this fall.
