EMGS secures Barents Sea 3D data deal

TRONDHEIM, Norway --Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has signed a $1.2-million licensing agreement to provide 3D EM data from its multi-client data library in the Norwegian Barents Sea.

The agreement includes an uplift model granting EMGS an undisclosed sum should the client customer secure blocks in future Norwegian licensing rounds.

EMGS' data library covers over 30,000 sq km (11,583 sq mi) in the Barents Sea, spanning 110 blocks of which 57 are currently open blocks.
