CNOOC starts gas production from Liuhua in South China Sea

CNOOC has started production from the Liuhua 19-5 gas field in the Pearl River Mouth basin of the South China Sea.

HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production from the Liuhua 19-5 gas field in the Pearl River Mouth basin of the South China Sea.

Water depth averages around 185 m (607 ft).

The two-well development is connected to the existing producing facility on the Panyu 30-1 gas field.

Liuhua 19-5 is expected to reach peak output of 29 MMcf/d (821,189 cm/d) later this year.
