    Keppel delivers Arabian Drilling jackup, setting newbuild record

    Keppel FELS has delivered the KFELS B Class jackup ARABDRILL 60 to Arabian Drilling, marking the 21st newbuild offshore rig the company completed in 2013 and setting a new record for the number of rig deliveries in a single year.

    SINGAPORE– Keppel FELS has delivered the KFELS B Class jackup ARABDRILL 60 to Arabian Drilling, marking the 21st newbuild offshore rig the company completed in 2013 and setting a new record for the number of rig deliveries in a single year.

    ARABDRILL 60is the third jackup Keppel FELS has supplied to Arabian Drilling. The rig is chartered to Saudi Aramco, which also operates the jackup ARABDRILL 50, delivered earlier in 2013.

    The new rig was delivered five days ahead of schedule, allowing Keppel FELS to beat the goal it had set of delivering 20 offshore rigs in 2013, said managing director Wong Kok Seng.
