ASKER, Norway – TGS expects to start work in January on the Nerites 3D multi-client seismic survey, spanning 8,300 sq km (3,204 sq mi) in the Great Australian Bight off South Australia

The program will cover two newly released petroleum exploration blocks, EPP 44 and EPP 45, situated mainly in thedeepwater Ceduna sub-basin

Dolphin Geophysical’s vessel M/VPolar Duchess will acquire the data, with TGS performing processing using its Clari-Fi(TM) broadband technology. Preliminary data should be available in late 2014.

In the Barents Sea off northern Norway,TGS and Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) are expanding their co-operation agreement from 11 to 17 blocks. TGS will increase its investment in all the blocks.

“The expansion of this agreement confirms our strategy to integrate our 3D EM data with seismic data and sell this as a combined dataset,” said Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS.

The multi-client surveys are already completed.
