SBM ships out Brazil FPSO

SBM has delivered the FPSO OSX-2 to OSX 2 Leasing.

MONACO – SBM has delivered the FPSOOSX-2 to OSX 2 Leasing. It will operate offshore Brazil.

The vessel took 27 months to build following contract award. It has a total topside weight of more than 10,000 tons and a production capacity of 100,000 b/d of oil.

Offshore Nova Scotia in eastern Canada, commissioning continues on EnCana’s long-delayedDeep Panuke platform in the run-up to production acceptance and the start of the lease contract, SBM says.

The facility is designed to produce and process up to 300 MMcf/d (8.5 MMcm/d) of natural gas from the Deep Panuke field, 250 km (155 mi) southeast of Halifax on the Scotian shelf.

SBM’s lease and operate contract is for a minimum of eight years with annual extension provisions of up to 12 additional years.
