ABERDEEN, UK– Dresser-Rand will highlight its newest offerings of steam turbines, gas turbines, DATUM compressors, VECTRA power turbines, and aftermarket services Sept. 3-6, at Offshore Europe.

The company will discuss its current project – the installation of the world’s first extracting condensing steam turbine sets for an FPSO in the North Sea. The field located in the North Sea between Scotland and Norway has very little gas, making it an ideal application for a steam power generation system where dual fuel boilers can be used.

In addition, due to the high viscosity of the oil, a large amount of process heat is required in the form of medium pressure steam which is taken from the steam turbine’s controlled extraction. The two 16 MW extraction condensing turbine generator sets have been designed to provide both maximum and minimum process heat load over a wide power range.

Dresser-Rand says its DATUM line of centrifugal compressors offer efficiency, reliability and ease of maintenance for gas gathering, liquid recovery, gas lift, gas injection, pipeline boosters, gas storage, recompression, and reinjection.

DATUM centrifugal compressors are available in 15 different sizes with discharge pressures ranging up to more than 1,000 bar (15,000 psig), maximum flow rates from 9,200 m3/h (5,400 cfm) to 1,200,000 m3/h (700,000 cfm), and power ratings to more than 90 MW(120,000 bhp).

The company is exhibiting at booth 3D116.
