Ranger adds Lewek Toucan to offshore support fleet

Ranger Offshore has added the DSV Lewek Toucan to its fleet.

HOUSTON –Ranger Offshore has added the DSV Lewek Toucan to its fleet.

The vessel is a DP-2 multi-purpose offshore support vessel built in 2006. It is 290 ft (88 m) long with a 120-ton active heave compensated crane, mooonpool, helideck, 1,000-ton cargo deck, and accommodations for 100 crew.

It will be outfitted with Ranger’s Hoss 1 DNV Class 12-man saturation diving system with hyperbaric rescue chamber.

Ranger has a long-term agreement with EMAS to use the vessel for subsea construction support in the Gulf of Mexico. It will start this month on multiple 36-in. pipeline tie-ins at various water depths.
