Armada Installer to lay Lukoil Caspian pipelines

Lukoil has contracted Bumi Armada Caspian for a program in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Lukoil has contracted Bumi Armada Caspian for a program in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

Under the $178.5-million contract, BAC will perform engineering and procurement of line pipes and associated components for six infield/interfield lines of around 40 km (25 mi) total forFilanovsky and Korchagin, along with installation and precommissioning.

Bumi Armada’s derrick pipelay bargeArmada Installer will handle the work. Most of the construction will be performed in 2015.
