OSLO, Norway –Dolphin Geophysical has agreed to purchase Quantum GeoServices (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd. Completion is subject to due diligence and is expected early next month.
Sami Khan, CEO of Quantum, will become Vice President Asia Pacific, Acquisition and Processing for Dolphin.
“Quantum previously licensed our OpenCPS software for marine seismic data processing, so we expect the integration of their processing capabilities to proceed smoothly,” said Gareth Williams, chief geophysicists of Dolphin.
Quantum offers a range of 2D, 3D, 4D, land, and marine geophysical integrated/interactive solutions, including transition zone and multi-component 3C processing.
Dolphin operates a fleet of high-capacity marine seismic vessels and offers contract seismic surveys, multi-client projects, and processing services.
