MOSCOW – Gazprom has issued an update on the Shtokman gas/condensate field development project in the Barents Sea.
Design and survey operations for the offshore infrastructure and the marine port with LNG storage facilities are expected to be completed between late 2013 and early 2014.
The documents will be sent for review to corporate, state, and environmental specialists. Design work continues on related onshore facilities.
Shtokman is in the central Russian sector of the Barents Sea, with reserves estimated at 3.9 tcm (138 tcf) of gas and 56.1 MM tons of gas condensate.
