PIEVE SANTO STEFANOI, Italy – Tratos Cavi has supplied replacement power cables to two offshore facilities in the Adriatic Sea operated by Edison.

In total the company provided 1,830 m (6,004 ft) of its TratoSubmarine medium voltage cable for use on the Alba Marina FSO and theRospo Mare B platform, in place of cables originally installed in 2004.

TratoSubmarine is manufactured with a copper or aluminum circular stranded conductor, extruded semi-conducting layer, HEPR insulation, and a non-hygroscopic PE innersheath and oversheath. Its double galvanized steel leads to improved durability, Tratos says.
