STORD, Norway – SMOE has issued a letter of intent to Norwegian fabricator Apply for the living quarters on the new Ivar Aasen platform in the Norwegian North Sea.
Apply’s business area LQ & Helidecks will perform the project, with Apply Leirvik in Stord responsible for engineering and assembly.
The seven-floor aluminum living quarters will be 3,300 sq m (35,521 sq ft) in area, with 70 single cabins, recreation areas, changing rooms, a control room, helicopter deck, and other facilities.
Delivery is scheduled for 2Q 2016. Contract value is about $77 million.
