Hallin supporting wellhead platform installations offshore India

Hallin Marine has started a saturation diving and air diving project offshore Mumbai, India, in support of installation of three wellhead platforms that will feed an FPSO.

EAST PERTH, Australia –Hallin Marine has started a saturation diving and air diving project offshore Mumbai, India, in support of installation of three wellhead platforms that will feed an FPSO.

The work at platformsD1-B, D1-C, and D1-D includes work on a pipeline end manifold in 95 m (312 ft.) water depth and J-tube cover removal, messenger wire connection to a power cable, any required concrete mattress placement, tie-in of flexible riser flange connections at the PLET, subsea tie-in and jumper connections, and post-installation surveys.

The work is about 200 km (124 mi.) west of Mumbai and is scheduled for completion in April, although there is an extension option.

The project is in partnership with Bumi Armada Berhad which is supplying the support vessels.
