BREDA, the Netherlands – Dockwise’s board of directors is backing the company’s merger with Boskalis and have recommended acceptance of Boskalis’ latest share price offer.
Both parties have discussed arrangements and principles concerning Dockwise’s future strategy and business, market synergies, the brand name ofDockwise and Fairstar, crewing and vessel management, sourcing, and other issues.
Dockwise says the combination with Boskalis would fit its strategy of expansion in the offshore transport and installation and logistical management market sectors.
