Offshore staff
AREZZO, Italy -- Tratos Cavi has supplied 1,830 m (6,004 ft) of its medium-voltage TratoSubmarine cables to Edison for offshore installations in the Adriatic Sea.
These are the Alba Marina floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) and the Rospo Mare B platform. The new order replaces existing Tratos cable installed in 2004.
The new cable, manufactured in Tratos’ Italian factory to IEC 60228 and IEC 60502-2, IEC 60840 to 26/45 KV standards, is fitted with a copper or aluminum circular stranded conductor; an extruded semi-conducting layer; HEPR insulation; and a hygroscopic PE inner sheath and over sheath.
