HOUSTON – Broker Indigo Pool is marketing various interests in offshore exploration licenses in Australia and the Asia/Pacific region.

One is for a client seeking partners for a work program on two exploration permits in shallow waters offshore New Zealand’s Taranaki basin. Here equity is offered in exchange for a contribution to the client’s back costs and a share of planned exploration wells.

One of these has a drill-ready prospect with estimated recoverable resources of more than 180 MMbbl in the main reservoir, with further potential in additional stacked horizons.

In the other permit, a large anticlinal structure has been mapped by 3D seismic on trend with oil and gas fields nearby, with potential resources of either 76 MMbbl of oil or 394 bcf (11 bcm) of gas with 21 MMbbl of condensate.

Offshore northwest Australia, another client seeks partners for a gas exploration project in Bonaparte basin. The permit is in water depths of 40-200 m (131-656 ft), with a proven petroleum system. Prospects and leads, fully imaged by a 3D survey, are close to and on trend with various large gas discoveries. If commercial, they could form part of an area-wide LNG development.

Indigo Pool’s other client is offering as much as 50% of a service contract covering a prospective block located offshore the Philippines, for a negotiated share of a one-well work program. Various prospects and numerous leads have been identified on the acreage. The prospects exhibit stacked horizons in zones where nearby wells have delivered commercial oil production.

There could be substantial upside from drilling, and an oil and associated gas prospect was identified on recently acquired 3D data.
