Offshore staff
HOUSTON–EXMAR Offshore Co. has entered into an agreement with LLOG Exploration Co. to design a new production semisubmersible hull for installation in the Gulf of Mexico in 2014. The design is based on EXMAR’s proprietary OPTI series of hulls.
The design will be similar to theOPTI-EX, which is now producing LLOG’s Who Dat field in the Mississippi Canyon. The new hull design will be larger in order to accommodate the anticipated processing requirements. The company will provide the OPTI design package, engineering services, project management, and construction supervision for the hull.
