Faroe gets go-ahead for Norwegian North Sea well

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Faroe Petroleum to drill an exploration well in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Faroe Petroleum to drill an exploration well in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

TheMærsk Guardian will drill well 2/8-18 S in production license 440 S, which covers the northern part of block 2/8, around 11 km (6.8 mi) north of the Valhall field.
