MONACO – SBM Offshore says offshore works on both its newly delivered MOPU jackup platforms continues. These will serve Talisman’s Yme field in the Norwegian North Sea and EnCana’s Deep Panuke offshore Nova Scotia.

Charters for both platforms should start during the first half of 2012. In the meantime, legal actions continue on both projects, which have been heavily delayed.

Elsewhere, SBM says its FPSO Espadarte relocation project to the Baleia Azul field is progressing as planned at Keppel shipyard in Singapore. The program involves vessel refurbishment and conversion works and new module fabrication.

The converted floater should start production on Baleia Azul in the second half of 2012.

Also on track at the same shipyard is the Petrobras FPSO Cidade de Paraty project for the Guará Norte development in the pre-salt area offshore Brazil. Here the unit is undergoing conversion and refurbishment works, while Singaporean and Brazilian yards are undertaking module fabrication.

FPSO Cidade de Ilhabela for Petrobras’ Guará Norte project has entered the Guangzhou shipyard in China for refurbishment. Preparations continue for module fabrication in Brazil, and engineering and procurement activities are progressing well.
